RE: Jan 30, 2008 Chat issues

Thank you for the email.  I have been pursuing this issue here today...as well as bouncing from meeting to meeting, so I hadn't contacted you yet.
 
The timeout error that occurred around 910pm is still something we are reviewing.  However, the login issue is something that has already been addressed.  We have identified the issue (it was a setting change specification for the underlying technology) and are testing to assure all is corrected.
 
Also, I am sharing the enhancement ideas from below with the team.

Hi, Darren,
Thanks for your help last night. Whatever you did, the chat survived the timeout error.

So it looks like the big issues from last night would be the following:
  • Being able to login (at least three people got the server timeout error)
  • The timeout around 9:11 (or so)

Other issues that counselors talked about:
  • Getting a list of participants (we’ve talked about this as an enhancement)
  • Having a more prominent private message alert (ditto)
  • Being able to scroll through the users (some counselors didn’t see a scroll bar)

Let me know when you hear anything.
