Hi, Darren,
There are at least 3 issues we have with the Student Profiles.
1.
In my quest to try to make it so that the counselors here can see the student’s self-authored profiles, I looked at the “Featured Student” page under “Life at CU” that has the Profile Thumbnail Viewer on it. Here’s the page in question: https://admissions.creighton.edu/LifeatCU/FeaturedStudents/tabid/406/Default.aspx
The links for all the profiles go to the same (wrong) place, though: https://admissions.creighton.edu/ParentsAndFamily/HEDTestPage/tabid/466/ProfileUserID/85374/Default.aspx (in fairness, the number, in this case 85374, does change, but the page to which the link goes is the same). Oddly, this is not the case on the Community Page, where the links for each person’s profile takes them to their profile.
2.
Another anomaly, or a part of the module (I’m not sure), is that when a student creates a profile without a picture, the module selects a picture randomly from, I believe, the root level file area. Is there a way to turn that function off? I’m sure that we’re going to have other students create profiles without uploading a picture. It seems odd that AG would then just apply a random picture to the profile. Let me know if this can be changed. Or, perhaps, we make the picture a required field. Can we do that?
3.
No use of the description in profiles. There is a text input area on the profile page, but the text entered into that area doesn’t show up on the profile. Is this intentional? Is there a way in which it can show up?
Yours,
Christian
