RE: Social Networking Follow-up (for real)

Christian-

The issue with your third bullet has been addressed.  Now, when the Find a Friend returns results....it goes to the actual profile.

The issue was the redirect for the profile was never established.  I have corrected it, tested it and found it to be functioning properly.  Please confirm from your end as well.

Subject: Social Networking Follow-up (for real)

Hi, Cathy,
I hope you are safely back in Mankato (or soon will be). We very much appreciated having you and Jeff come yesterday. We came away feeling very good about where the product is heading and how we might be a part of that.

I wanted to follow up on a particular part of our discussion: the social networking

In our conversation, you reiterated that we really had all the tools available but just needed to marshal them to our purposes.
Please help us clarify some of the unknowns on that front:

  • How might we assemble the different modules in one place on the site for our admitted students? (Even just a walk through would be good. )
  • Can the “who’s online” module actually be used to connect students so that they might see each other’s profiles and chat?
  • When the “find a friend” module results in “friends,” the linked names open to pages not found.
  • Do you know when the text/html will be displaying correctly on each person’s profile. As of yesterday, 12:40 p.m. folks at JT were still unsure what was wrong?
  • Can the user interface on editing profiles and searching other users profiles be improved soon?

We are looking to have some resolution on these issues in the next six days. Please let me know what you know when you know it.
Yours,
Christian
