Christian-
I discussed this with Orfa when I was down last. I am sorry we didn't include you in this dialog.
Because of the fact that we are sharing all the awesome, cool admittedness with Admitted students...we can no longer allow users, once they log in, to maintain existence on the page they were on at the point at which they log in. We are aware of this issue and working on it.
What I CAN do however, is set up a redirect specific to bloggers that, when they login ANYWHERE on the site, the are placed at the blogger location.
Would that be acceptable? If so, I can take care of that for you or instruct you on how to do so. Also, which URL would you want them to start at? The master Blogger home page area?

Subject: Redirect after login
I would like to change the redirect after login. I’ve discovered, thanks to a blogger, that when you login, it takes you to the admissions.creighton.edu, not to the page you were at when logging in.
Can we change that?
The only people for whom I would like a redirect would be admitted, I think, so that they see all the cool admitted-ness. Otherwise, people generally don’t want to be redirected.
Yours,
Christian

Darren showed Christian how to change the redirect settings on the login module on the login page.
ReplyDeleteHe also said that CU can reset the redirect to back to the referer page (in General settings), but it's either that or redirect based on role. Not both. So . . . CU can decide what it wants to do.
